First of all, when you leave your home to buy groceries, you typically drive a car. Driving leads to more carbon dioxide emissions and leads to a worse climate. When you are shopping for groceries, sometimes you need plastic bags to hold them and take them home. That leads to more plastic pollution and will cause more environmental issues. These are only consumer side effects of grocery shopping on the environment and we haven’t talked about how packaging, and delivering side of the food itself will cause more burden to the environment.

Therefore, you can make a change and help the environment with some home gardens!

The Home Garden Guide:

Understanding your area: To begin with home gardens, it is important to know what your area is like. For instance, if you don’t have a backyard and have to plan at home, then consider the sunlight. Maybe you will need a sunlight lamp or to tidy up a corner for your plants?

Find the right plants: You need to choose the type of plants you can plant. If you are planting in a pot, then you likely won’t want to do things like potatoes or carrots. Choose something small, possibly tomatoes or basil might be easier to work with. If you have low sunlight or the soil is mostly dry, get some plants that can survive in this circumstance.

Learn and make changes: Understanding is not always the thing that leads to success. Unexpected things can happen, so never be afraid to make changes and learn from what you are experiencing. Look for tips and don’t be afraid to try it out!
