Are you a person who identifies as a young woman, non-binary or gender-diverse currently in high school, post-secondary or a young working professional (under the age of 30) and passionate about community, gender equality, volunteerism, and social justice in the Peel Region?
Being a part of the GEM family means you will connect with a diverse community and meaningfully contribute to growing the capacity of a youth-led organization, gain mentorship opportunities, and further develop your skills and knowledge in community organizing.
GEM is searching for new members to join the team as Directors and Coordinators in roles like Programs and Initiatives; Multimedia and Communications; Organizational Development; and Community Collaborations and Advocacy. For successful Director applicants, GEM’s Directors training will take place online on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

Program and Initiatives (P&I) Team 📋
The programs and initiatives team leads the planning of major programming and activities. This includes researching topics and guest speakers, preparing speaking notes, and facilitating events.

Multimedia and Communications (M&C) Team 🎨
The multimedia and communications team leads our multimedia platforms and prepares online materials for various initiatives. This includes posters, videos, and other creative materials.
Organizational Development (OD) Team 📂
The organizational development team leads training and professional development opportunities for the team. This includes organizing orientation materials and integrating learning activities during meetings.
Community Collaborations and Advocacy (CCA) Team 📣
The community collaborations and advocacy team leads collaborative opportunities with our local community. This includes outreach to local school clubs, youth groups and other organizations.
